Spotify offers music as the artist intends it to be heard, so it can sometimes include explicit content. Look out for the EXPLICIT tag on any releases.
If you're on Spotify Free you can use Spotify in a different country or region for up to 14 days. To continue listening after 14 days, you can change your settings: Log in to your account page. Click EDIT PROFILE. Scroll down to Country or region and select your new place from the dropdown list. Filtering explicit content

Filter out content labelled as explicit with these steps:
Mobile and tablet
- Tap Home .
- Tap Settings .
- Tap Explicit Content.
- Switch Allow Explicit Content off (gray).
- Tracks marked as explicit now appear grayed out. It’s not possible to play them and they are skipped over by the player.
Desktop
- Click the arrow in the top-right corner and select Settings.
- Under Explicit Content, switch Allow playback of explicit-rated content off (gray).
Note: Explicit content settings don’t apply if you use Spotify Connect to play to another device.

- Go to your account page.
- Select Premium Family in the menu on the left.
- Click on the member you’d like to stop hearing explicit content.
- Switch Allow explicit content off (gray).

Finding clean versions
You can check for clean versions of songs marked as explicit. Pick your device to learn how:

- On an album page, scroll down to the bottom of the track listings.
- Find more releases of the same album in the bottom-right.
Note: If you don’t see this option, there are no other versions of the album currently available on Spotify. - Choose a version of the album that doesn’t have the EXPLICIT label.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Go to Settings > Siri & Search.
Tap Language to change the language that Siri uses for requests and responses.
Tap Siri Voice to change the gender or dialect that Siri speaks.*
To hear spoken responses from Siri on your device, tap Voice Feedback, then choose from the following:
- Always On: Siri will speak responses, even when your ring switch is set to silent.
- Control with Ring Switch: Siri silences all spoken responses when the ring switch is set to silent. You'll still hear a beep when you use Siri and hear voice feedback when you use 'Hey Siri,' or when you're connected to a Bluetooth device, headphones, or CarPlay.
- Hands-Free Only: Siri will only beep and speak responses when you use 'Hey Siri,' or when you're connected to a Bluetooth device, headphones, or CarPlay.
On your Mac
If you have a Mac with macOS Sierra or later, go to Apple () menu > System Preferences, then click Siri. From here, you can choose the following:
- Language: Change the language that Siri will use for requests and responses.
- Siri Voice: Change the gender or dialect that Siri speaks.*
- Voice Feedback: Turn on to hear spoken responses from Siri. If you turn this off, you won’t hear a spoken response but will see Siri’s response in the Siri window.
On your Apple Watch
Siri uses the same language and voice on your Apple Watch that's set up on your iPhone. On Apple Watch Series 3 or later, you can have Siri speak responses. On your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Siri. Under Voice Feedback, choose from the following:
- Always On: Siri speaks responses, even when your Apple Watch is set to Silent Mode.
- Control With Silent Mode: Siri silences all spoken responses when your Apple Watch is set to Silent Mode.
- Headphones Only: Siri only speaks responses when your Apple Watch is connected to Bluetooth headphones.

On your Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD
